Salla In the middle of nowhere

In the Salla centre there is clothes shop, shoe shop, three food stores, jewellery store, hardware store, pizzeria, bar and electronic store.

In Salla there is two schools, health centre, library, old people's home Hopeaharju and day nursery. There are two service stations, too.

Salla`s village locations

There are many places in Salla. In winter you can go slalom and skiing.  When the weather is bad, you can go to spa and you can go to sport center. There are a library, shops, church and museum too in Salla.  There is a 100 year old ski, and something else in the museum . Take a look!

border crossing

Salla has a border crossing point. Located on the back at Kelloselkä border crossing point to Russia. Salla crossing point is 23 kilometers so this is close to Russia. The crossing point to go many times a day over. Lower image border.

Activities

Salla has its own ice hockey team. Its name is Hockey SaPs. There is also a basketball team here, its name is SaPs. Here is also shooting club.

There are libary and national Institute. We schools are sometimes movies.  There are clubs. Museo is in the Salla.

Reindeer herding

Salla has a lot of reindeer herding.A reindeer next to on the road is ordinary sight.

Reideer eat in the morning and evening.Reindeer eat hays, leafs,and forages.The reindeer is in the fence over the winter. Reindeer is released in the spring of. Reindeer find  food in the summer.

Salla has good skiing opportunities. Fell's name is Sallatunturi. We also sometimes by class skiing Oh, and there, of course, with board. Fell has many hill-slope to the front, the back-slope, north slope and the EP.

Hunting and fishing

Here in Salla our hobbies are fishing and hunting. We have lots of fishing waters.                     We have geat There is woods in here Salla. there is lot of animals. in the winter we go to ice fishing!
